Meta Paisaje Medellin

This project was the winner of the open call organised by the Exploratorio at Parque Explora in partnership with the Festival de la Imagen. It is an artistic installation that combines both analogue and digital components.

Its surface presents a mosaic of city photographs arranged to highlight contrasts and the stark divides between multiple realities—stray dogs, pedestrians, streets, businesses, homeless individuals, luxury vehicles, slums, buildings, bars, prostitution, and schools. Through a digital editing process, these elements are visually interconnected, forming a cohesive Meta-image.

The physical sculpture is a small-scale replica of a large-scale digital model. Using headphones and a 360-degree video viewer, visitors are immersed in digital tunnels, embarking on a visual and auditory expedition through the expanded Meta-image.

For this project, I collaborated with Federico Goez, a multi-instrumentalist musician, performer, and composer, recognised as a pioneer in Colombia’s electronic music scene.

This is a 4K 360 video that resembles the VR presentation displayed through the VR headset.
